On 21 – 22 November 2022, Vector Control Research Unit announced the successful completion of inspection audit for the insecticide resistance test kit production facility at the Vector Control Research Unit, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang, Malaysia. The audit was conducted by WHO delegates: Dr. Jan Kolaczinski, Dr. Seth Irish and Dr. Rajpal Yadav.
The focus of the inspection audit is to ensure that VCRU continues to comply with WHO requirements for establishing, supplying, maintaining, and continually improving the test kit production facility.
VCRU first obtained its agreement as the insecticide resistance test kit production facility on April 1993 and has continually become the sole producer of WHO test kits for adults and larval vector since then.
